Meet Your Librarian!
Michelle Tombrella
Hello! I am Michelle Tombrella and it is my joy and privilege to be the librarian at Sandbrock Ranch Elementary! This is my 4th year as an elementary school librarian and my 3rd year here at SRE. My career in education, however, started way back in 2000 when I graduated from Sam Houston State University with my BS in education. My first teaching position was as a 2nd grade teacher in Springtown ISD. I have since taught various elementary elementary grades. I was also blessed, for a season, to be able to put my career on hold and stay home with my children. The 5 years before becoming a librarian I served as the library para at Savannah Elementary. I earned my Master of Library Science from TWU in May 2021.
On a more personal note, I have 3 sons that I am very proud of! The oldest is working for Toyota, the middle just graduated HS and is attending DBU, and the youngest is a HS sophomore and football QB. My fabulous husband and I will celebrate 25 years of wedded bliss this December ! He is a pastor and is planting a new church in north Collin County in September!
My hope and primary goal as a librarian is to help ALL students find a book they love or a character they can connect with to launch them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers!
